Actually, it can be “easy” depending on what you mean by that. Easy in the sense that you are probably quite capable of learning some new skills and then consistently applying those skills on a daily basis. But it will take effort.

How long will you start seeing results? This depends on a number of factors including how much time and effort consistently you are going to put into it. If your hoping to use affiliate marketing or relying on advertising on websites to generate income for you, you will definitely need to be very consistent, especially at the beginning, in adding new unique content to your site.

I’ve helped a number of clients gain traffic to their websites, and I can tell you that in lieu of expensive advertising campaigns, one of the best methods to get traffic to your site is to add new content regularly. On the Internet, content is still King.

It is true that you might come up with some great idea or method that sparks an avalanche of traffic to your site in a short period of time, but that is unlikely. Best to use tried and proven methods, and remember the story about the race between the tortoise and the hare.

If you’re serious about making money using the Internet, be patient, persistent and consistent in your efforts. What you do now can have a multiplying effect in the future - but you must do something now. And then repeat it tomorrow, the day after and so forth.

Be realistic in your expectations and give yourself a reasonable amount of time to start seeing your first paychecks from affiliate programs and advertisers.  While you could experiment with some advertising of your own to generate  traffic, your most valuable visitors will be visiting your site because of time you spend on generating valuable content and doing some work to learn more about efforts that you can make to increase your site’s exposure without spending much money.
